Web/Software Tester : ref WSTW

Motive Technology requires a Web/Software Tester to join the Kendal office.

You will be required to analyse functional requirements to design and implement test plans, test cases and test scenarios that ensure all software released is in line with functional, usability, performance, security and content standards.

You will identify, analyse, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.

You will perform analysis, reporting and communication of test results to developers and project managers. Execute manual and automated test cases and scripts of software, web applications and user interfaces.

Work with the product development team in establishing product acceptance and performance criteria for new products.

You will have:

A clear understanding of the testing process and software development life cycle.

Familiarity with .net technologies in development of web applications and software along with a knowledge of automated testing tools.

Salary upto 25K dependent on experience.

Motive Technology, Kendal requires a Technical Consultant to join a small team focused on providing technical consultancy to clients.

You will have demonstrable experience analysing and capturing client requirements, producing requirements specifications and functional specification documentation which will be used by the development teams in creating the solution. You will then be responsible for overseeing all requirements and functional analysis for the project, as well as assisting in the continued support of the client engagement in a technical consultancy role. Some UK travel will be required on occasion.

IT Support Technician: ref WITT

The IT department is adding to its team and are currently searching for Junior to Senior IT Technicians to support our forward thinking and innovative software development Group.

Joining the Kendal team, you will be assisting in the operation and support of all company and clients Networks, Servers and PC's.

You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal employees and external clients, across the UK, by answering the helpdesk phone and e-mail system, ensuring Helpdesk requests are logged and then resolved within the agreed period.

Although candidates are not required to have any formal IT/computer qualifications, a good standard of education to 'A' level or equivalent, is required. Experience of working within a commercial IT support environment is essential as is a demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services. An understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Active Server Pages, together with MySQL and PHP, would be an advantage.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are self-motivated with a flexible attitude and the willingness to work as part of a team. Good communication, organisational and problem solving skills are also required. Candidates should be physically fit as IT Equipment may need to be relocated, plus be prepared, on occasion, to work out of hours.

A shift system is currently in place to cover the office between 7:00am and 7:00pm and you will be required to work within a rota of the three shifts, changing weekly.

Account Manager: ref AMW

Leading software development agency seeks experienced Account Manager for a number of blue chip accounts.

Working on some of our larger contracts, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of our clients' online marketing strategies and web development projects.

You will work in a client facing role to manage and prioritise assignments, delivering these with our development team. You will also be working with our strategic Account Director to assisting in the selling of creative solutions, through working closely with our clients to understand their needs.

You will be a team player capable of building trusted relationships both externally and internally as this role involves liaising with several teams within the Group to ensure our clients projects meet deadlines.

You will use sound judgment skills to ensure all work is in line with clients' strategies and ensure we deliver against the brief. Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills are a must.
